How do I change information I already entered?
Once information is entered and you press submit, the information is transferred to our data base. You will have an opportunity to review the information as it was transferred. If you find an error you must reenter the information. Simply go back to the input form and reenter the information. The information will be retransmitted and the most recent submission will be used.
As this time, there is no method to edit the information you previously submitted, the entire listing must be resubmitted.
The system will only use the last information submitted. Any previous entry will be ignored.

I just entered my information and do not see it. When will I see my posting ?
The information you entered will be posted between 9:00pm on Monday night and 8:30am on Tuesday of the open house. The system is updated once a week during that period.

What should I include in the comments section?
Include only information that other agents would find useful in deciding which open houses to visit. It is often impossible to see all open houses. If the house has unique features, include them in the remarks. If you are providing food or a contest that should also be included. Comments MUST BE LIMITED to 50 words, otherwise they may be truncated and not included in the final report.
Reminder: Do not use any type of line break, including paragraph returns. This will result in the information being truncated at the point of the break and not included in the final report.

I cannot fit every thing in the space provided. What do I do?
The comments section will continue to "flow" and comments will be included. This is also true of other input areas. Remember to be careful and not exceed the 50 word limit for comments.

How do I cancel an open house I already entered?
Just send in another form with the address and include the comment: "Open House Cancelled".

The drop down list does not contain an option I need. What do I do?
If the city is not included simply add it to the address. The system will be updated in the future to include that city. In the case of other areas, please call 770-378-9747.

When should I enter my information?
Enter the information at your earliest opportunity. Many open houses are sent in as early as one week before. Please do not enter homes more that a week before the open house ...the system may include it in the current week. Also, any homes entered later that 6:00pm on the Monday prior to the open house may not be included in the final report.

Does your service have a cost?
That's the good news. There is no cost. The service is free to Realtors. It is free to enter the information and free to access the information.

How does Model Home Services make money on this service?
First of all, it is an opportunity for us to bring our services to your attention. And, we appreciate the calls and requests for service that we receive.
In addition, we will soon be incorporating a professional service provider section in the web site. An area you can use to source out service providers that have established good reputations with agents in the area. What geographic areas are covered by your service?
At the time the primary area is Alexandria. We also have listings throughout the NOVA area and most recently we are including DC listings. We are happy to include any listings in the Metro area.

How do I print out the information?
It's simple. Just open up the report and select print. The report is in pdf format and should be easy for you to use. If you have any questions please contact us. If you are not familiar with the pdf format please go to

and follow the instructions. Adobe Reader is a free product used to conveniently view documents on the Internet. You can also feel free to contact us.

Last week's information is still appearing. When is the system updated?
This should not occur. However there are two possible explanations.
First, we are running late in updating the system. We schedule to have the latest report available by 8:30 am on the day of the tour. However, if we have a very large number of homes or many homes with editing issues the report may be delayed.
Second, you may need to "Refresh" your browser. Simply select the "View" option and click on "Refresh".
